Growing up along the pristine coasts of Perth and Yallingup in Southwest Western Australia, Tim was immersed in some of the world’s most breathtaking beaches and premier surf destinations. He discovered surfing in his early teens, beginning with the gentler waves along Perth’s city coastline before progressing to the more challenging, heavier swells of Yallingup and its surrounding breaks.

Tim’s passion for surfing soon became a driving force in his life. It even influenced his career path, as he secured a transfer with his employer at the time, BankWest, to a town near Yallingup. This move allowed him to immerse himself fully in the world-class surf conditions that had captured his heart.

By the early 1990s, Tim took his love for surfing to the next level, embarking on the ultimate pilgrimage: an exploration of the untamed waves across the Indonesian archipelago. From the rugged beauty of East Timor to the iconic Mentawai Islands off Sumatra, Tim experienced some of the world’s most revered surf breaks. These trips, which he has repeated numerous times, not only deepened his connection to the ocean but also inspired a new chapter in his journey.

Today, Tim’s adventures have culminated in a dream project—mySurfJoynt, his very own beachfront surf resort in Sumbawa. This stunning property embodies Tim’s love for surfing, his appreciation for world-class destinations, and his commitment to sharing these experiences with others.

Tim’s passion for music has been a recurring theme throughout his life, blending seamlessly with his professional journey. As a dedicated hobbyist, Tim has had the privilege of working and studying in the music industry over the years, gaining valuable insights and honing his skills along the way.

Tim began his music journey with Radio Fremantle 107FM in Perth, Western Australia. In his early teens, he co-presented pop music shows alongside Co-Founder Mark Jeisman, gaining firsthand experience in live broadcasting. In the early 1990s, he returned to the station, hosting a prime-time Saturday evening slot dedicated to dance music—a genre that continues to inspire his creative pursuits.

While Tim’s professional career took precedence for a time, his dedication to music never waned. His career achievements eventually allowed him to invest in a state-of-the-art home studio, providing a creative space to reconnect with his musical roots. This period marked a pivotal moment as Tim navigated the steep learning curve of transitioning from analog to digital music production, keeping pace with the industry’s rapid evolution.
